The interest in the reconfiguration of materials and labor methods and how they evoke change and tradition, specifically corn husks are present in this series. In this rendition exploration of fragmented text becomes the emphasis. The primary text translates to “we are going to be okay”, with other words related to the labor of this project as well as labor in immigrant communities. Poetic fragmentation and the power of single words specifically when tied to recognizable language are emphasized here.
